Meowingtons. Handmade ceramic cat ornaments

Meet the Meowingtons! A band of little cattos who love nothing more than to sing with their friends. Every ceramic cat ornament here is hand built by me in Suffolk, and each one is one of a kind.

My very first hand built animal was a cat. I wasn't expecting him to survive the bisque fire, but he did, and he's been sat on my kitchen window sill making me smile ever since. There's a bit more about him in my love letter to handbuilding.

The Meowingtons are a whole band of cattos! One is the most tuneful of them all, with a meow that's loud and strong. There's a ginger tom, a little tabby, a handsome chap in a bow tie and some very curious little cattos. They're hand built from lava flecked clay, and every cat figurine is hand painted with glaze detail.

Clarence the cat lives here too. He's one of my bigger makes, more of a cat statue really, with big ears, plump cheeks and wide eyes. He's already found his forever home, but you can still say hello. And dog lovers, the Doggos are just next door!

How big are the Meowingtons?

They're little! The cats in the band are about 7.5 to 9.5 cm tall, so there's room for one on a windowsill or a bookshelf. Clarence is the big one at about 19 cm. Every cat has its measurements on its own page.

Can a Meowington live outside, or in a plant pot?

They can, but just like real cats, they'd much rather be warm and dry indoors! If it freezes there's always a slight risk of the glaze cracking, too.

Can you make me the same cat again?

No, I couldn't make the same cat twice if I tried! Every catto is hand built and pinched by hand, one at a time, so once a Meowington has found its forever home, it's gone. Will the band get new members? Wait and see... New makes arrive in small drops, and Instagram at @henroo_pottery is the best place to see them taking shape.

How long will delivery take?

Please allow 3 to 5 working days for your catto to be wrapped up and posted, then it goes Royal Mail Tracked 48. I can only post within the UK for now, and there's more on my shipping page.
